Managing Optimizer Tasks
The Optimizer Tasks board is your central hub for tracking all content optimization projects — in progress, not started, and completed.
Accessing Optimizer Tasks
Click Optimizer Tasks in the left sidebar. The board opens to the All tab by default.
Views
Toggle between two layouts using the icons in the top-right corner of the board.
Kanban View
A visual board with three columns:
- Not started — Tasks you have created but haven't begun writing
- In progress — Tasks you are actively working on
- Completed — Finished optimizations
Drag and drop task cards between columns to update their status. To select multiple cards, hold Shift and click each card you want to include, then use the bulk action bar that appears to move or delete them together.
Table View
A sortable list of all tasks. Best when you have many tasks and want to filter, sort, or search across them quickly. You can sort by keyword, status, date created, or entity score, and use the search bar to find specific tasks.
Tabs
Three tabs filter what tasks you see:
- All — Every optimization task regardless of type
- Full — Full optimizations only (comprehensive rewrites using the wizard and editor)
- Quick — Quick optimizations only (section updates or internal links)
Tip: Use the tabs to focus on one type of work at a time — for example, reviewing all your Quick optimizations to find pages worth updating.
Task Card Actions
Each task card has a menu (click the three-dot icon) with options to:
- Open — Jump into the editor for that task
- Delete — Remove the task permanently
- Move — Change the task's status column
Common Questions
What is the difference between Quick and Full optimizations?
Full optimizations use the wizard and editor for a comprehensive rewrite — the keyword is relevant to the entire page. Quick optimizations are lighter-touch: either updating a specific section or adding an internal link to the correct page. See Quick vs. Full Optimizations for a detailed comparison.
Can I reorder tasks within a column?
Yes. Drag task cards up or down within a column to set your own priority order.
Does deleting a task remove my content?
Yes. Deleting a task permanently removes the associated optimization and any content written in the editor. This cannot be undone. However, if the task had an A/B test, the test data is preserved separately and will still appear in the Test Results tab.
