Content Optimization Wizard

The Content Optimization Wizard guides you through creating an optimization plan for your content in four steps. The wizard takes 5–10 minutes to complete.
Important: After you finish Step 4 and click "Start Optimizing," your keyword and search settings are locked. You can still edit your outline in the editor, but changing the keyword or location requires starting a new task.
Wizard Steps
- Step 1: Choose Your Topic — Select your primary keyword
- Step 2: Set Your Search Settings — Configure your target audience
- Step 3: Create Your Content Outline — Build your content structure
- Step 4: Review Your Brief — Final check before writing
Tips
- Use the pre-selected keyword in Step 1 unless it doesn't match your page's topic (e.g., the keyword is about a different product or service than what the page covers) — the pre-selection is based on your search data and traffic potential
- Match your search settings in Step 2 to where your audience actually searches (check your analytics if unsure)
- Start with AI-generated outlines in Step 3, then customize — it's faster than building from scratch
- Review competitor scores in Step 4 before writing — they set your target to beat
