Keyword Detail View

Updated March 11, 2026

Clicking any keyword in the rankings table opens the Keyword Detail View — a dedicated page for deep analysis of that keyword's performance.

What You See

Ranking History Chart

The main chart shows your position over time for this keyword. Use the zoom bar at the bottom to focus on a specific date range.

  • Green line — Your ranking position (lower is better; position 1 is the top)
  • Time range — Drag the handles on the zoom bar at the bottom of the chart to narrow the visible period

SERP Table

Below the chart, the SERP (Search Engine Results Page) table shows the current top results for this keyword. Each row includes:

  • Position — Where the page ranks
  • URL — The ranking page's address

Use this to see exactly who you are competing against and what content currently ranks.

SERP Screenshot

A captured screenshot of the actual search results page. This shows you precisely what a searcher sees, including featured snippets, "People Also Ask" boxes, ads, and other SERP features that affect click-through rates.

Tip: The SERP screenshot helps you understand the real competitive landscape. If a keyword's results are dominated by ads or featured snippets, organic position 1 may get fewer clicks than expected — consider whether the keyword is worth optimizing for, or focus on keywords with cleaner organic results.

Using the Keyword Detail View

  1. Check your trend — Is your ranking improving, stable, or declining over time?
  2. Study the SERP — Who ranks above you? What does their content look like?
  3. Assess opportunity — If competitors have weak content, an optimization could push you higher
  4. Take action — Click the Optimize button on this page to launch the content optimization wizard for this keyword, or go to Keyword Opportunities to see all improvable keywords
