Quick fixes for the most common issues.

Google Search Console Issues

Can't Connect GSC

Fixes:

  1. Verify you are signed in with the correct Google account.
  2. Ensure you have Owner or Full User permissions in GSC.
  3. Try disconnecting and reconnecting.
  4. Verify your site is set up at search.google.com/search-console.

No Properties Found

Fixes:

  1. Sign in with the correct Google account (the one that owns the GSC property).
  2. Ensure you have Owner or Full User access in GSC.
  3. Try a different account if needed.

Import Stuck or Failed

Fixes:

  1. Wait 10+ minutes (large sites take time).
  2. Check your internet connection.
  3. Refresh the page and try re-importing.
  4. Contact support if it fails repeatedly.

Content Optimization Issues

No Opportunities Found

Fixes:

  1. Ensure Google Search Console is connected and imported.
  2. Check that you rank 11-50 for some keywords (Content Raptor focuses on "Quick Wins").
  3. Wait for the import to finish (can take 5-10 minutes).
  4. Try re-importing GSC data if the list is still empty.

Entity Score Stuck Low

Fixes:

  1. Add the Red entities (not used yet).
  2. Increase mentions of Yellow entities (underused).
  3. Reduce Orange entities (overused).
  4. Write more comprehensive content (aim for 1500+ words).

Wizard Won't Advance

Fixes:

  1. Ensure all required fields are filled.
  2. Refresh the page.
  3. Clear browser cache.
  4. Contact support if the issue persists.

WordPress Export Issues

Export Not Working

Fixes:

  1. Ensure your WordPress site is connected in Settings.
  2. Verify your Application Password hasn't expired.
  3. Ensure you have Editor or Administrator permissions.
  4. Check that your site is accessible (not down or behind maintenance mode).
  5. Try disconnecting and reconnecting.

Export Failed

Fixes:

  1. Check that your site is online.
  2. Verify your Application Password is still valid.
  3. Check for security plugins (Wordfence, iThemes) blocking the connection. Whitelist Content Raptor's IP.
  4. Try exporting again.
  5. Check WordPress error logs if available.

Rank Tracking Issues

Rankings Not Updating

Fixes:

  1. Rankings update daily (can take a few hours).
  2. Try manually refreshing from the Rank Tracker page.
  3. Verify the project is active and not paused.
  4. Contact support if updates are delayed more than 24 hours.

Rankings Look Wrong

Fixes:

  1. Rankings vary by location and device. Ensure your tracking settings match your target audience.
  2. Verify the target URL is correct for each keyword.
  3. Small fluctuations (±3 positions) are normal day-to-day.

Account Issues

Can't Log In

Fixes:

  1. Verify your email and password are correct.
  2. Click "Forgot Password" to reset.
  3. Clear browser cache and try again.
  4. Try a different browser.

Email Verification Not Working

Fixes:

  1. Check your Spam/Junk folder.
  2. Click "Resend Email" in the app.
  3. Verify the email address is correct.
  4. Wait 5 minutes (email can be slow).
  5. Contact support if the issue persists.

General Issues

Page Not Loading

Fixes:

  1. Check your internet connection.
  2. Refresh the page (F5 or Cmd+R).
  3. Clear browser cache.
  4. Try a different browser.

Features Not Working

Fixes:

  1. Refresh the page.
  2. Clear browser cache.
  3. Try a different browser (Chrome recommended).
  4. Update your browser to the latest version.
  5. Contact support if the issue persists.
