Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time.

How to Change Your Plan

  1. Go to Settings > Account.
  2. Click "Go to Billing Portal" (opens Stripe portal).
  3. Select "Update Plan" or "Cancel Subscription".
  4. Follow the prompts to confirm.

Upgrading Your Plan

When It Takes Effect

Immediately. You will be charged a prorated amount (meaning you only pay for the remaining days in your current billing cycle, not the full month).

What Happens

  • New features unlock instantly.
  • Access to Rank Tracking (if included in the new plan).
  • Your next full billing cycle starts on your original renewal date.

Downgrading Your Plan

When It Takes Effect

At the end of your current billing period.

What Happens

  • You keep full access until the renewal date.
  • On renewal, the new (lower) plan takes effect.
  • Features not included in your new plan become unavailable (e.g., Rank Tracking, additional AI credits). If your current team size exceeds the new plan's seat limit, you will need to remove members before the downgrade takes effect.
  • Your data is safe. All projects, optimizations, ranking history, and content remain in your account. Nothing is deleted — if you upgrade again later, everything is exactly where you left it. Rank Tracker data specifically is preserved; keywords continue to exist in your projects but stop updating until you reactivate Rank Tracking.

Canceling Your Subscription

How to Cancel

  1. Go to Settings > Account.
  2. Click "Go to Billing Portal".
  3. Select "Cancel Subscription".

What Happens

  • You retain access until the end of your current billing period.
  • After that, your account reverts to the free plan with limited features (25 optimization opportunities, no Rank Tracking).
  • Your data remains — all projects, optimizations, and ranking history are preserved. You can reactivate anytime to regain full access.

Common Questions

Will I get a refund if I downgrade?

No refunds are issued. Instead, the unused portion of your current billing cycle is automatically applied as a credit to your next invoice.

Can I switch back?

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or switch plans anytime.

What if my payment fails during an upgrade?

You will be notified via email. Update your payment method in the Billing Portal to complete the upgrade.
