Common Questions

How often do rankings update?

Daily. Updates happen automatically in the background.

Do I need Rank Tracking to use Content Raptor?

No. Rank Tracking is optional — it's a separate feature for monitoring keyword positions over time. Content Optimization works independently using your Google Search Console data, and doesn't require Rank Tracking to be enabled.

Can I track multiple domains?

Yes. Create a separate project for each domain.

My rankings dropped. Is this bad?

Not always. Small fluctuations (±3 positions) are normal and happen daily due to Google's ranking algorithm. If you drop significantly (5+ positions):

  1. Check for recent Google algorithm updates (search "Google algorithm update" for news).
  2. Review recent site changes (redesign, URL changes, speed issues).
  3. Check Google Search Console for manual actions or indexing issues.
  4. Monitor for 2–4 weeks before taking action — many drops recover on their own.

How accurate are the rankings?

Very accurate. Rankings are based on actual search results but can vary slightly by location, device, and personalization.
