General
What is Content Raptor?
An SEO tool that helps you optimize content and track rankings. It connects to your Google Search Console data to find keywords where better content can improve your rankings, then guides you through creating that content with real-time feedback.
Do I need SEO experience?
No. Content Raptor guides you step-by-step through the entire process — from finding opportunities to writing optimized content. The editor shows you exactly what topics to cover and tracks your progress in real time.
How long does an optimization take?
- Wizard setup — 5–10 minutes
- Writing and editing — 20–40 minutes
- Total — Most optimizations are done in under an hour
When will I see results from an optimization?
SEO changes are gradual:
- 2–4 weeks — Initial ranking movement
- 1–3 months — Significant gains
- 3–6 months — Full potential
Content Raptor creates an A/B test automatically when you mark a task as complete, comparing search performance before and after your changes. See A/B Test Results for how to interpret the results.
Content Optimization
What's the difference between Keyword and Page Opportunities?
- Keyword Opportunities — Individual keywords with improvement potential. Best for targeting a specific term like "best running shoes"
- Page Opportunities — Aggregates keywords by URL, showing which pages on your site have the most combined improvement potential. Best for updating a page to capture traffic for 10+ keyword variations at once
How do I know if my content is ready?
Your content is ready when:
- Entity Score is green (in the optimal range)
- Word Count is 1,000+ (as a guideline, not a hard rule)
- Outline is complete (all sections filled)
- You are satisfied with the writing quality
Can I use Content Raptor without WordPress?
Yes. WordPress export is optional. You can copy the HTML and paste it into any CMS — Webflow, Shopify, Squarespace, or any platform that accepts HTML.
Rank Tracking
How accurate are the rankings?
Rankings are based on actual search results for your configured location and device type. They can vary slightly from what you see in an incognito search because Google personalizes results based on factors like browsing history and exact location within a city.
How often should I check my rankings?
Rankings update daily and are tracked automatically. For most users, checking weekly is enough. After making content changes, monitor the affected keywords for 2–4 weeks to see the impact.
My rankings dropped. Should I worry?
Small fluctuations (±3 positions) are normal and happen daily. If you see a significant drop (5+ positions):
- Check for recent Google algorithm updates
- Review any recent site changes (redesign, URL changes, speed issues)
- Monitor for 2–4 weeks — many drops recover on their own
- If the drop persists, consider re-optimizing the affected page
Account & Billing
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. Cancel anytime via Settings > Account > Go to Billing Portal. You retain access until the end of your current billing period. See Upgrading or Changing Plans.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data is preserved. You can reactivate anytime to regain access to your projects, optimizations, and tracking history. No credentials need to be re-entered — your GSC and WordPress connections remain configured.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. The free tier includes 25 optimization opportunities (with 5 more unlocked each week) and keyword variant detection. New accounts also get a free 7-day Pro trial with access to every feature. See Using the Free Tier for details.
Technical
What browsers are supported?
Chrome (recommended), Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Use the latest version for the best experience.
Is there a mobile app?
No mobile app yet. The web app works on mobile browsers for tasks like checking rankings and reviewing opportunities, but the Page Optimizer editor is best used on desktop due to the side-by-side layout with the entity scoring sidebar.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Google Search Console access is read-only — Content Raptor never modifies your GSC account.
